Student Ministry (Grades 7-12)

Welcome to the Youth Ministry of Living Oaks Baptist Church.  In a time in a student’s life that gets busy and complex, we want to keep things simple.  We’re here to do one thing: connect students to Christ!!  We believe that a connection to Christ is where it all begins.  Once a student has connected, we encourage them to grow spiritually, and to become Christian leaders while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Below you’ll find a description and meeting times of some of our events and activities…

• Youth Worship – meets on Wednesday night at 6:30 and incorporates music, games and relevant Bible studies targeted at the issues facing today’s teenagers
• Bible Study – meets Sunday morning at 9:30 and is a chance for the students to connect in small groups with people their age for a time of Bible study and discussion
• Youth Music – meets Sunday afternoon at 4:45 for anyone interested in being a part of a youth praise team.  The praise team leads our worship on Wednesday nights as well as participating in our church worship services.  Whether you like to sing, play an instrument, or working with sound and video equipment, you’re welcome here.

Our youth ministry also understands the importance of fellowship and building relationships between the youth.  Every month we organize events for the youth to come together, get to know each other, and just have fun.
Finally, a youth ministry cannot be successful without the involvement of the parents.  Our goal is to not only connect the students to Christ, but also to connect them with their family and to connect the family with the church.  We look forward to seeing your student and your family here at Living Oaks.
